FAQ

  • How can I book a tattoo with you?

To book a tattoo email timhenrytattoo@gmail.com or Dm me. Please include the following:

    • Your full name and contact number

    • A description of what you would like tattooed

    • The style you would like - bold/traditional or fineline/blackwork.

    • A rough size (in cm) and where you would like the tattoo. If there are other tattoos in the area please include a photo, so when designing it I can make sure it fits.

    • The days of the week you are available

    • If you have a budget in mind - My minimum is $150

Feel free to include any references images to get your idea across, but please note these will be used only as inspiration and I will not copy another tattooers work. I prefer reference images that are not tattoos.

Please be prepared to pay a $100-$200 deposit once I have found an appointment time that works for the both of us.

  • What should I do prior to my appointment?

    • Don’t consume any alcohol on the day of your appointment

    • Have a good sleep the night before the appointment

    • Make sure there is no fake tan or any other products (e.g. makeup) on the area being tattooed

    • Eat something prior to the appointment

    • Bring water and some food/snacks to the appointment. This can help keep your energy levels up. It’s important you let me know if you need to stop to have something to eat or drink, or just need a short break during our appointment.

    • Bring earphones if you wish to zone out during the appointment. I love to chat with my clients but if it’s easier for you to put in earphones during the appointment please don’t hesitate to do so!

    • Don’t be hungover - this will make the appointment a lot harder then it needs to be

    • Plan out the best way to get to the studio to avoid being late. If you are running late please let me know.

  • What should I wear to my appointment?

I recommend wearing dark colours as sometimes ink can onto your clothing during the appointment. If you’re getting your legs tattooed, please bring loose fitting shorts to change into. If you’re getting your back, ribs or stomach tattooed, please bring a button up shirt or zip up hoodie, which you can put on backwards at the appointment. By doing so I can tattoo the back with you being comfortable and not exposed. I always set up privacy screens when tattooing an intimate area and I can always put them up for you even if you are fully clothed. Please don’t hesitate to let me know what would make you feel most comfortable.

  • Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Unfortunately due to COVID and the space being quite cozy, I prefer you to come to your appointment alone.

If you feel like you do need to bring a friend to the appointment that’s ok, but please let me know before hand. We have a front reception area they can wait in or there are plenty of great cafes and restaurants near by if they wish to wait there instead.

  • Can I use numbing cream?

Yes, I’m more than happy for you to use numbing cream, as long as you let me know prior to the appointment, so I can walk you through the best way to use it. I’ll also ask you to do a small patch test a few days prior to the appointment to ensure your skin doesn’t have any reactions to it and make sure there aren’t any issues with the product. I also prefer you buy numbing creams I am familiar with and have used before. A lot of these are purchased online so you will need to think ahead to have enough time for them to arrive.

  • How do I keep my tattoo looking its best?

After the initial 2 week aftercare process (click here for initial aftercare instructions) I recommend doing the following to keep your tattoos looking their best:

    • Wearing sunscreen on your tattoos when you’re going to be in the sun - limit sun exposure

    • Regularly moisturising and exfoliating your tattoo

    • Book in for a touch up session if you had an issues during the healing process (touch ups are free for 6 months after the initial appointment)
